Hello and welcome to Mel and Al Gifts and more. Mel and I started our journey together this year in September will be 15 years. Melanie is from Germany and I am from Florida. I met Melanie while I was stationed in Germany in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. In 2013 I medically retired out of the Army. In 2016 I was offered a job on the island of Maui and that is where we started our love of arts and crafts. Melanie started with paint pours which are absolutely beautiful and she loves photography. I worked as a Air Force Civilian Police Officer at night, and a State of Hawaii Police Officer at the airport. We spent two years there and due to medical issues, my career as a police officer ended. We moved off island and went to Arizona. We spent three years in Yuma, Arizona until I got my 100% medical disability from the Veterans Administration. Arizona was beautiful but really hot in the summer. Mel and I are water babies and we love to travel so we decided to find a place that was close to the ocean. We decided since I was born in Florida, why don't we try Florida out.
